Because it is thematic, since the creator (Takashi Okazaki, a Japanese man) loves the Western media and he has a passion with Western hip-hop, and he wanted that incorporated in his works. That's why it made sense. THIS, Assassin's Creed game on the other hand, is trying to be something that it isn't. Which is incredibly blasé. Ubisoft doesn't know what the hell they're doing anymore but push that DEI agenda.
