  2.  @thebrocialist8300  You realise 'coronavirus' comes from the Latin 'corona' ('crown' or 'wreath'), right? Also they speak Spanish in Mexico, not 'Mexican'. Come on, I'm from Australia & I know this. But yeah, back to the original comment, Australia begins to ease restrictions from tomorrow & I'm pretty worried there will be a resurgence. We've down to less than 20 new cases per day for a few weeks, but that's going to change if we're not careful how we do this...

  4. I don't think it stopped any of them. Australia was hit over our Summer, just as we are being now with COVID-19.

  8. I think tuberculosis is one of the only diseases where a single microbe (from the ‘single virus in a single droplet’ comment) actually is enough to cause infection. Otherwise a ‘single virus’ would not be enough to cause infection.

  9. To be fair, unless it was TB it's very unlikely to be infected from a single microbe. Certainly not from influenza. But, I mean, if someone sneezed in your face you'd be breathing in more than a single virus, so yeah... Semantics.
