It is wrong to claim that feminism didn't double the labour force, women before it were not in the same type of work, they were mostly involved in cottage industry, family businesses or very localised jobs, this meant they could still look after and have kids. Once they are in professional company work they are heavily dissuaded from having children and pushed towards greater workforce participation, as women are psychologically agreeable this has marked effects and as they have bills to pay they can't easily escape. Traditional societies had substantially different priorities, they were not profit based but religious and formally hierarchical. The priorities were family, salvation of the soul and a stable social order. This radically factored in to how they acted, to a degree that is hard to imagine for modern people, as we are fish in the waters of the current.

Places without state pensions or with very low ones still have low birthrates, notably China, though also Russia to a certain extent.

Yeah, that doesn't exist in Britain.

While this is true in a sense it fails to account for how culture and social norms effect the priorities of people.

An upsidedown pyramid is literally a collapse in demographic terms. It might even be worse as it accelerates over time rather than being a linear fall.
