People aren't universal in values and culture, I feel that people who insist they are should be made to plead their case to isis in the same way as people who refute cause and effect should be with gravity. Warfare has been endemic across human history not because people enjoy dying but because irreconcilable differences are common between different groups of people with different understandings and values, even among people with the same foundational understandings (such as Catholicism in medieval europe) there were more than enough squabbles to go around. If you introduce people who's only contact with western ideals, understandings and values was colonial imperialism then they generally aren't really going to integrate into the bewildering and perverse society they find themselves in, nor with they feel compelled by its moral restrictions or general sentiments. You will have all the consideration of the Anglo-Saxons after the defeat of the Romano-British, e.g. none, rather active malice.
