It's unfortunate he wasn't the servant of a better regime. Spreading Anglo colonisation was good, but spreading liberalism, financing universities and building the structures certain interested groups use to this day to be the power behind the throne in South Africa were all bad.

The Africans are primitive now, two centuries ago they were in a state that would have been familiar to the ancient Greeks and even then looked down on. The first human civilisations were more sophisticated than Africa is now. However the Ethiopians have long claimed not to be African as they do not have the highest regard for their neighbours, and to be fair they have a point, they have a very long history of stateship, even if not a very much more proud one than others, and Europeans historically acknowledged them as Human's and Christians, where as it was and remains a matter of debate regarding most from that region.

The nature of the British government retaining a monarchy means that men of the proper character (so hostile to parliament and 'democratic' rule) retained steadfast loyalty to oath, throne and alter. This unfortunately suppresses resistance to destruction in so far as it is enacted by legitimate institutions of the state, and unfortunately the Windsors are of insufficient temperament, as the temperament of the constituent people's of Britain are such that vociferous counter-revolution would need but a word of sympathy from the King, the loyalty of the British people is feudal, as with any great people.

There's a work called 'victims, heros, suvivors' which collected many first hand accounts as well as going though archives. Such treatment was not uncommon at all unfortunately, though it was not a group practice like with the soviets and German officers turned a blind eye rather than personally leading it like was common with the red army. They cover that similar actions are not uncommon in the British army, and rampant among the Americans. As well as the exact nature of what the soviets were like, which is still shocking despite all that precedes it.

The problem with taking exclusively from unit histories is that they will always put a good spin on things. They are less reliable even than memoirs. Likewise I wouldn't trust sources with nationalist motivations or religious sensitivity. Which is to say I'm sure they treated other Bosnians well enough but that isn't really the point and generally the low regard of the rest of the army should be taken into account (speeches or commendations aimed towards them mean little, they are meant to raise morale and establish unit pride and identity, not reflect reality).

The internal politics of Japan at the time were a dumpster fire and a half. In the internal infighting the Navy won and an invasion of Russia would have left them without much to do, also it was assumed, probably correctly, that the Americans would attack them sooner or later in order to support the Soviet Union. But exact motivations were disparate as people in the government were in a state of terror due to internal problems, with assassinations being common and carried out on the weakest of pretexts by fanatical junior officers. In many senses Japan acted it was that are not logical to Europeans, they would jump behind something with total unity irrespective of if it was a good idea and then octracize anyone who didn't seem committed enough before flipping to something else again as a group, leaving a shambles in their wake. Also they way they treated the White Russians was revolting, they would betray their Russia soldiers during the Soviet invasion, killing many of them before the Soviets could, they used White Russian women and children in the experiments of unit 741 and they systematically abused White Russian girls and women, turning them into you know what and sending them to serve as spies in China and to spread opium. Of course the Japanese didn't deserve the soviet type treatment they were subjugated to during American occupation, but there is a reason that Germany originally supported China.

It's very like those old 9\11 truther documentaries. Which is to say that lots of editorializing and nonsense dressed up like something the history channel would have on at 2am. It doesn't imitate it well either as it is a knockoff. To someone who reads actual history the whole thing is at best incredibly cheesy. I can only imagine the people always recommending it are facebook boomers.

It should be noted that northern Spanish and much of the Spanish nobility are predominantly Germanic in origin and thus don't look all that different to other Germanic people's, you'd have to do a dna test and even that would be of constrained worth as they go by distinguishing genetics, it is for instant very difficult to tell were an Englishman got his Latin, Celtic and Germanic/Scandinavian genetics from because that is the essential mix of all the people's surrounding him across his history, he could be essentially Norman with Breton influence or a Scot descended from a clan founded by a knight from Flanders, or he could just be from Cornwall, and yet have near exactly the same mixture on the test.

Given what was happening in Russia repatriation was evil, especially if you know what happened to all such people, which presumably he would have given his experience with Soviet rule.

@ It's poorly made and researched rubbish. Every decent point is made in a corny way and counterbalanced by a mass of obvious falsity. Even as a propaganda piece the makers clearly knew very little about how propaganda works and just copied the form of their opponents. It appeals to the sort of people who have literally never picked up a book about WWII and can pick up a new narrative easily because they are used to downloading what's said on the TV uncritically. So boomers. Zoomer is so much more sophisticated that it's a bit of a joke people tell him to watch it.

@J.Panxer Jesus is probably the most loathed person by that group in existence. He crushed their ambitions of domination and turned Rome into the inheritor of the prophets. The degree to which he broke their paradigm is difficult to even convey, they are still angry about it today. Many of his actions were ritual humiliations of them, he desecrated almost all of the parts of their religion they actually cared about. Then he made the Greeks the custodians of theology. The more you understand about the period and the theological roots the more you will understand about why they direct their enmity as they do. The 20th century in Russia had a lot to do with it's claim to be the third Rome and the spirit of that which existed in the people. There is an immense amount of content in the subject. Rather more than it is possible for me to explain, at least on youtube.

He was found, this was declassified by the Russians decades ago. The controversy was if it was him or is they used standins and buried them somewhere else so the soviets would get them. This is very likely, and Stalin would personally terrorise the NKVD for fabricating evidence in order to have an open and shut case. One of the reasons witnesses were treated the way they were is internal politics in the USSR, the NKVD had come to a conclusion and had the prisoners been taken into the hands of someone else and sing a different tale then that would be a coup for other factions within Party system. Once they had decided the story it had to be retained, even if it was one only told within the high circles of Soviet party leadership.

Hur dur, 'universalist nonsense'. Neither are our group, remember that Anatolia was once Greek, North Africa and the Levant were part of Christendom. If we are under threat we should react but we would not be wise to ride to the aid of enemies for the sake of protecting them from enemies, so long as the worst is implemented we will be favoured by the fact that one group will have to leave for greener pastures, while the other will reveal their colours, and make clear the fruits of their treachery to our elite. We should not have sympathy for existential threats to our existence.
