Camera footage suggests they took no casualties in the tunnels themselves and were undetected for some time after leaving them as it was unexpected. Who knows what casualties they took after that point, but neither side has a positive history with accurately reporting such numbers. 800 was probably pulled out from the back of a sofa somewhere.
