Genocides are willful, Mao didn't commit a genocide against the Chinese he was just massively incompetent and wilfully ignorant of the situation, likewise with the British political elite, they were still arguing about whether the famine was real long after even Queen Victoria herself was pouring money into famine relief and charitably works and the number of half-starved Irish migrating into Britain itself to find work and food in the industrial hubs had made the reality and scale of the situation blindingly obvious. If you look at deliberate genocide through famine you can look to what Stalin did to the Ukraine, all the food was seized by soldiers and resisters were shot, people who tried to enter the cities where much of the food was taken were shot, people who tried to leave the Ukraine were shot, people who tried to speak out about what was going on were shot and food aid from abroad was refused, spies and agents were used to tell the rest of the world that nothing was happening and foreign whistle blowers were deliberately cancelled through the efforts of left wing colleagues/Soviet agents and sympathisers or murdered. There ended up being quite a lot of documentation of the genocide in Soviet archives as it was deliberate policy and required organisation to enact. It's like comparing the black and tans to the Armenian genocide, the atrocities of the latter are clearly organised with intent while those of the former are marked by their lack of proper organisation or vision (the same reason as why they were largely ineffective). British governmental policy has long been marked less by any real malice as by sheer incompetence and idiocy, even more so today, British politicians have always been and continue to be stupid and squabbling idiots of low moral character and lower intellect, arrogance on the other hand they have in plenty, really they are just the sort of people you want to keep as far away as possible from public office.

Not really, there is basically nothing about the component nations of Britain nor do most people even know all that much about England itself, if anything more people probably know about the Irish famine than Edward III or Edward I, we also aren't a country with a massive amount of grievances as we've tended to be the winning side historically, though that is shifting due to domestic events and the actions of certain internal groups, along with the general trends of polarisation.

The East India company on the other hand was more straight forwardly evil, famine relief cost money while dead Indians cost nothing (actually they cost tax revenue and productivity but you can expect short term thinkers to grasp the obvious), as a result local administrators were told to take up relief on their own dime (which to be fair a few did) and survivors were brutalized in an attempt to make up for lost revenue. One of the reasons that the East India Company had such a bad reputation was that even in England it was recognised that they were terrible (to the point of people having sympathy towards the Indian mutiny, until accounts of Cowpore came back and the public sentiment turned to exacting blood and ruin).

  6. British education is a joke in general, they don't teach about the heritage of the country or it's development, they don't even give much useful knowledge on the country as it is now, why would they teach about the grievances other counties have with us.

The protestants said that if they were made part of Ireland then the Irish could have the land out of their cold dead hands at the very least and the British Government didn't feel like kickstarting and ethnic genocide on their borders, they provision was meant to be temporary but like anything temporary the British Government does wanting something really hard doesn't shift reality to your will.

  12. Christian minorities from the middle east, also a good few other minorities from around europe. Minorities tend to migrate a lot, the Irish were all over the place even prior to the famine, notably in the Spanish and French empires but also as a part of basically anything the British ever did.

Yeah, but Cromwell was a treasonous bastard who murdered the King and acted like the tyrannical dictator he was throughout the rest of the isles as well and on the face of it his invasion was due to the Irish remaining loyal to the English Crown during the civil war. Though as was a religious zealot of a heretical cult the fact that the loyal Irish were for the most part Catholics probably contributed to him being even more of a mass murdering rectal dysfunction, that and it being a pain to hunt down innocent civilians in the geography of Wales and Scotland and politically disadvantageous in England.

Half of Chinese history, the 17th century for basically everyone, anyone who ever ran into the Assyrians, Britain itself after the Romans left, anyone in the path of Genghis Khan, Russia under communism, China under communism, Cambodia under Communism, North Korea under communism, anywhere else under communism, the French repeatedly from 1790-1875 or so, most occupied countries under the axis, anyone ever occupied by the ottomans, Serbia repeatedly, the Armenians, the Assyrians, the Greeks, the Coptics currently, most of Africa, most of South America, India repeatedly, South Africa currently, anyone who ever ran into the Vikings, Poland regularly, everywhere the bubonic plague hit and a million others I don't know about.
