The right person will never come, the emotion of love might tell you that they have but in actual fact they are not perfect or completely compatible (and the emotion dissipates with time), the important part of the relationship is working together to fix the flaws you find in each other or at least come to terms with them. Long relationship are born out of effort not idealism or fate.

@Dac_DT_MKD How sad.

@Dac_DT_MKD Evolution is uncaring, those who pass on their genes matter, the rest are irrelevant. The people who chase robots or cartoon women are no different from dead in the process of evolution and the values that allow such a situation is thus pressured to die also. We happen to be heading into a population bottleneck with very low birthrates as things are which other than most likely laying waste to wellfare states due to an unmanageable tax burden, will mean that the values and norms of today will undergo extreme pressures over the next century or two which will likely kill them, in previous conditions it was value systems like Christianity and Confucianism which flourished, we will have to see if we end up with them again or new systems are come into being with but considering that people have been starving themselves based on the same grouping of ideologies for a century now my bet is that they won’t have anything very impressive to show.

I would be interested to see the marriage rates for any schools that continue in the meiji style, also any Confucian families would be interesting. I think Japan takes a very long time to come to solutions for problems that have long been apparent. In this case arranged marriage is most likely and even if only adopted by a minority, with the birth rate they would soon be a majority.

There is plenty wrong if you want society to continue. Children are the future of the nation and as such they are worth more than any job or personal vanity. It looks like the Mongols of the next era will simply be whoever has kids, values when mixed with evolution do not lie, it doesn't matter what the west thinks their values are doomed to die just as they are doomed to stop generations from ever coming into being.

@piotr004 The power of human record has preserved at least some of their genius but their lack of children deprived later generations of genius from springing forth from their bloodline and allowing the genius to be imposed on later contexts to build upon the greater knowledge gleaned since. If their is ever a break in human record the knowledge of their achievements will also be venerable to loss. Considering that a larger population allows for more talent to be present and the serious issues with fertility currently on display in almost the entire world which has effected the most intelligent most severely (though one can perhaps point out that it is there own fault if they are really so clever), along with a whole host of the other issues, anti-natalist ideas are only evolutionary in a Darwin awards sense, indeed the whole wig history natural progression of humanity view of things is extremely at odds with evolution which is an attempt to define a values free natural process, humans being humans can and of course will apply positive or negative attributes to that process depending on what their value set, priorities and sometimes personal interests happen to be.

No it isn't, that idea comes from the perverts who were involved with the sexual liberation movement, many of whom are now most famous for wanting to have the right to diddle kids. Throwing yourself around like an object actively deteriorates your ability to form and maintain meaningful relationships.
