The most recent one I can think of is an interview with a former red army soldier, he related about an incident late in the war in which his company came across two German sisters aged around 14 whom were looking around asking after their mother. The company commander and then his officers took turns first as the interviewee remembered their screams from the barn were what first informed him of their presence, then the commander came out organised the men into two lines and you can imagine the rest (the interviewee was quite graphic but had also broken down in tears by this point and was impersonal in the whole description of the action itself never mentioning or referring to himself), after they were all done the commander shot them both in the head and had their body's thrown in a pig's trough, the interviewee recalled that later when he looked in it only their teeth remained. For context I'm in my early twenty's and given the time frame those girls were almost certainly younger than my (still living) Grandfather, it would be fair to say these events happened within living memory.
