  1. Unfortunately very true, indeed it's worse than this when it comes to academia. History, especially recently is probably one of the least conservative (read; willing to change conclusions, create interpretations and accommodate new evidence) subjects, the social sciences in general are very weak with this, and sociology based subjects are basically seminaries for the prevailing ideology.
