  1. The Tzarist logic was actually based of speed of production as they were having trouble producing enough to supply whole army with at the time.

  2. Soviets refurbished a lot of guns in the 50s, made most of them worse by lacquering the hell out of them. The original doesn't have a perfect trigger pull but it's a great deal smoother and a good deal lighter.

  3. They starved but not to death like in Russia and none of it was deliberate government policy, also you won't get a round in the back of the head for complaining.
