Shame that the bayonet was made using the latest in bendysteel technology and has a serrated back edge just to be extra sadistic (to anyone who might have to withdraw the thing from a target that has say bones that is). It's heavy because the sods who designed it had malicious glee at the mere thought of all the people who'd have to lug the bloody thing around and as a stop gap if the RAF ever ran out of bombs to drop on people.

It’d be a plenty fine gun if it weighed a hell of a lot less, cost less to produce and had less crannies for mud, slit and such to get in (no mechanical reasons just a massive pain to clean). A properly made bayonet would be nice (could talk more about that but my thoughts aren’t really concrete and its not like I live in the same head space as the MoD people who draw up the requirements between throwing money into holes and coming up with BS excuses for dropping troop numbers further).

@Flat Moon Aye that's how bendysteel is revolutionary, the durability and resilience of the coke can without the trouble of having to make the blade as thin as one, truly only government contractors can put out such exemplary feats of engineering at such a consistent quality. I heard the technology was originally meant to be used to make the steel bars that circus strongmen bend.

@Tiger Wu If it does snap that will at least make it easier to pull out.

@fedup08 Roll it around in the mud a bit then ask them to clean it for you.
