It's called collateral damage. It's why Ireland has to cooperate with Britain everytime something like this happens, especially as in more conventional conflicts Ireland gets eyed up as a potential launchpad against Britain with inadequate defence and a government that might fold if pressured violently enough.

If the Russians deploy such a weapon against Britain we will revert to the nuclear option and use our submarine fleet to glass Russia's 200 largest cities.

On the other hand if they only destroy London then the rest of the country will thank them for their trouble. I would recommend hitting Bristol and Brighton as well.

@kevocos They wouldn’t have a chance (unless they wanted a repeat of the attempts to take the airports in Kiev but this time with naval infantry and marines being stranded on beaches in small groups by submarines, to be picked off by badgers and hungry scotsmen), which is why I said in more conventional conflicts.
