Most of the worst criminals left from Israel, modern Russia is in an identity crisis between WW2 sacrifices and Tsarism, Putin tries to unify those discordant narratives but it is not likely to work, the more time goes on the more likely that the Orthodox Church and the continuation White movement will solidify their influence and strip away everything Soviet, even the communist party in Russia are basically just centre-right nationalists at this point, and their ideology is nostalgia.

  6. Travel to Belarus then get a flight from there to Moscow, you can't come in over the border as you have to check in at a border post and those are in the airports. Istanbul is expensive, getting a plane to Poland or Lithuania, a train into Belarus and a plane to Moscow is going to be under £300 so long as you don't go business class or something. Make sure to get your visas beforehand.
