Everything you said is true, but there's one big omission. The Federal reserve Bank so far, has made all bank failures depositors whole so far. Yes it's true that by Statue only a certain amount is covered like I think what a hundred or $250,000. But even the silicon valley Bank had many depositors well over that limit. But within a week, they were all completely made whole! Of course that doesn't mean that the next bank failure will follow suit, but in order for people to trust the American banking system, generally speaking governments have to step in and shore up any defaults otherwise it will bring the entire banking system into failure.

@bigb6046 you know these Banks are monitored by the Federal reserve. They have Capital requirements. I think you should read up on this a little more. Failures to happen, but this case was an anomaly
