It's a very interesting analysis. What are you saving the money for? If you can't enjoy the money while you're alive and healthy, what's the purpose of it? It's a philosophical question that you might want to ask yourself.

@gordonreinz9849 I've always had this philosophical argument in my mind about how much money you have and how much you should spend on your quality of life. As you get older, you start to say what's the purpose all this money? Especially if I can't enjoy it. Why do I want to live in a third world country just to save taxes? At the end of the day, if they're just numbers on a page why does it matter? You're only making a small amount of money like a few hundred thousand a year, then it makes a big difference. Your taxes can be almost nothing, and the the cost of living could be very close enough. But even still, how old are you? What do you do if you need high quality medical Care? Go look at the news week 100 top hospitals in the world. Where do you find these hospitals? Well you know where the top 10 are? United States, Canada, Germany Switzerland, Israel etc. You don't find them in Bangladesh, Thailand or other countries that are emerging because they don't have the high quality physicians. So you can't take the money with you when you go, you might as well enjoy it while you're alive. I hate paying taxes as much as the next guy I'm going to put the fact of life so if you want to live in a high in AAA country, then you have to pay tax. Literally no way around it.

@RawOlympia there's no doubt about that. But you know you have a country full of idiots that elected a bunch of left-wing Democrats either directly or via ballot harvesting and they think that the lefties are going to come through with the promises they make. Unfortunately it can't work like that, you can't tax the rich because cash is mobile and it gets up and disappears. Every year more and more people looking at ways to renounce their citizenship or at least change States or do everything they can to minimize their tax burden. Some have even given up and just said fuck it I'll just work less.

I don't know what you can learn about investing in crypto stocks or cryptocurrencies for that matter. It's not a business, it has no equity, it's just a bunch of people putting money into a fund which keeps growing, it's essentially a pyramid. And it's driven by news which can be up or down depending on what the news is about. When you hear about news relating to regulation which will be coming, then cryptocurrencies will likely falter. When you hear about companies like Tesla say that they may consider taking Bitcoin for cars, then you saw a big jump. But it's essentially a pyramid with the sole intention of enabling people to circumvent the law, taxes, and deal in goods and services that are either illegal, gray, or even worse. It's not for me. But each person can make their own decisions. I just don't know what there is to be learned? If you have to summarize it in one word it simply gambling

@MrHarumakiSensei I don't know about that. I think the US is pretty far forward, but there's lots of countries that are catching up. And a lot of them are not doing it by the book as they say. Intellectual property theft, etc.

It's true there are more opportunities in emerging markets. There's also more opportunities buying a rooming house and renting out rooms to junkies and hookers and trying to collect the rent. You can typically get 5 to 10 times more rent for the same investment. So it's the same sort of thing with emerging markets. There is an inherent risk there, and you don't know what's going to be tomorrow. Moreover you have countries that are highly corrupt and they can arbitrarily just take over companies. You talk about Kazakhstan? Look what happened to Tristan oil. They just grab the company so the number of years ago but not much has changed. So if you're ready to take on these kinds of risks where you have an unstable government which is highly volatile, and a corrupt judicial system which can lend you on the other side of the law unless you're well connected and have bribed that the Justice officials. So it's always been that way. Much better to invest in emerging markets on the big board then actually going there in my view. But you know these things are highly volatile and you need to have a lot of patience and perseverance and risk tolerance

You're not the only one. Everyone feels like they're in cages all over the world, and the ones who don't maybe too concerned to travel. Better to wait a few more months until this thing is over

I don't know where you get that analogy. If you look at the high net worth migration chart put out by visual capital, you can see that people are moving to high tax high cost jurisdictions not the other way around. There's a good reason for doing that. Low corruption high quality of life, good education good medical care and safe. All of those things are lacking in third world countries

What you do is you learn another language. I've already have to learn five. It depends what languages you speak. If you speak French for example, to learn Spanish Italian Portuguese and Romanian probably wouldn't. Hungarian Greek would be harder because they have no similarity

@stephenday4834 well couple of responses. Yes I've never been there that's true, but I do not only read us media. I'm an emerging market analyst and I read more than 24 newspapers a day, and receive more than a hundred economic reports every month from major Banks like JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Oregon Stanley etc. And I've been doing this for the last many years so I'm very familiar with what's going on in these countries on a political basis, and how it affects and how it affects the economy.
