It's not exactly Chinese loans. People have this impression that China is loaning America money, no! They are just buying t-bills and like thousands of other people do. They have foreign currency in US dollars and they got to put it somewhere. The most secure place is in t bills.

You could have 100 passports that could be totally worthless or almost worthless and have one or two real good ones. So start off with what countries give you access to the US Visa waiver program. I think there's 40 countries.

The world isn't coming to an end. There are various reasons to move to other countries, but generally speaking other than us persons, it could be for taxes or weather or lifestyle. But even if you don't agree with many of the policies of the US, and they have treated an environment for people to be able to do business. Think about access to Capital, and millions of consumers that you can sell to.

@karlabritfeld7104 I think people are getting so worked up about this truckers demonstration. These were a bunch of thugs that disrupted the country the most heinous way. And those people that were donating money to them, we're in essence enabling them. Canada still has been rated the number one quality of life in the world. I only have two problems with Canada. The cold weather, and the lack of Private health care and the extremely long waits in the public system. And the healthcare I think is even worse than the weather. Imagine being sick and you can't see a doctor.

Yeah Ecuador, there are real doozy! It's the only country in the world that defaulted on their bonds for no other reason than they just didn't want to pay them. Nobody thinks about intention to pay when you think about countries but two countries come to mind which had no intention of paying their bonds. Ecuador and Belize, both serial defaulters. Argentina did default as well, but they paid out as much as they could until they were broke. The Dominican Republic also had a problem but they didn't default per say they rescheduled. So when you think about countries I like to think about a country that places full Faith and value in their currency and their government

@NigelHyphenJones obviously. The better the country, the more they can ask. Mexico is a dangerous third world country, I don't know why you would want to live there? I've been there a few times on vacation, but it's not the same thing. I went to resorts and just stayed there in the resort. They picked me up from the airport with a big bus and took me to the resort and that is where I stayed for a week.

I don't know of any country that stopping anyone from leaving. I think you've been misled. He was talking about people wanting to renounce their US citizenship to stop paying tax or being subject to us regulations. That's a big difference from stopping someone from leaving. Government stop people all the time from leaving by not issuing passports if they're in default on tax filings, tax payments or other irregularities

@mkuc6951 I can understand that. My currently live in Israel, and the government here was doing the same thing. It was only for a short period of time though, you'd have to ask for permission to leave because they wanted to stop unnecessary travel. Lots of people were going out to party because everything was closed in the country. A high percentage would come back with covid. So what did you expect them to do? I don't think anyone really suffered because if you have to really go for a reason they gave you permission. At the end of the day, it's about balancing the good of the masses, and at some point perhaps inconveniencing a few of the minorities. That's the sacrifice that people have to make to live in a free and Democratic society. I don't think I would want to live in a country that was lawless and corrupt. I guess that's the choice everyone has to make

@mzm4245 for sure not Canada because I am Canadian. But I was very happy to get the vaccine, and where I live now Israel, they were the first to start giving them out. And it's been working flawlessly

@mkuc6951 well there's two sides to the story. One side of the story is being socially responsible and the other side of the story maybe to be reckless. So let me just explain. The Canadian charter for example enables people to express themselves freely, but there are limitations on that freedom of expression based on social norms. So for example when you look at the truckers strike in Canada. These people weren't just protesting, they affected the lives of thousands of people by blocking the border. They blocked the downtown core so that people couldn't commute. That's not protesting! And they're ultimatum was that the government resign and they threatened to continue their protest until this happened. So the government enacted the emergency measures to take extraordinary measures to stop this menace. So you have to consider that the government has a duty, moral and legal to take measures to ensure the safety of the bulk of the population. Here in Israel where I live, they had similar restrictions but they had an exception board and you could go online and apply and if you had a real reason to go as opposed to just going to party, then they allowed it. And there was not any news or demonstrations at all from anyone who wasn't able to go, because anyone that had a legitimate reason to go was able to do so. Canada also had very strict regulations with mandating quarantine for 14 days, but again there were exceptions. And you can apply to get those exceptions that which I did and was successful in doing so.

@mkuc6951 well there you go. I did get vaccinated actually four times, and I did not catch covid, nor was I sick, nor was I inconvenienced. Looking at your own individual case though is not really a good test because you don't know what your outcome will be. Millions of people have died from covid. And then again there was even more than that that had very little reaction and many were asymptomatic. So you have to ask yourself, do you feel it's appropriate to take the risk, or, should you be precocious and wear a mask and act responsibly? The big difference is that it doesn't only affect you, because I'm sure that if you got covid, you probably were involved in a chain of transmission that got you sick, and you made others sick. I don't think that that's very responsible! You know a lot of people just think about themselves and they may be in an age group that has very low incidence of complications. Then you go out and visit people that are in high risk groups, and these people can die. I think that's a high price to pay because he didn't want to follow simple rules

@mkuc6951 a country that makes vaccines available to the population is very responsible. They don't have any vaccine mandates here! But you know, when you accumulate a few dollars, you want to hang around for a while to be able to spend it, and you certainly don't want to spend the rest of your life sick. I think you should just go to a third world country that has practically no rules and regulations with poverty, corruption, and violence at the plenty! Civilized countries have rules, and we all have the choice to live wherever we like, assuming that that country will take you.
