  1. We have a similar effect here in Florida. The Gulf usually stays clear during the day, but becomes cloudy and full of thunderstorms at night and in the morning. On land, the opposite happens and we get very large and powerful thunderstorms almost every day (at around 3-5 pm) during the summer.
