  1. There's nothing to indicate that black holes aren't neutron stars. There have been studies that propose that black holes are simply an extremely dense neutron star or something along the lines of a quark star. So dense and small that their physical radius falls below their eveht horizon, rendering them unseen. (if this were true, it does solve some apparent problems with black holes).
