  1. States just need to enact execution orders on ATF. Banish them from within States with extreme penalties. ATF's mere existence is Unconstititional as you can't have a legal entity tasked with violating the Bill of Rights.

  3. ​ @anonymous.anonymity. Guns don't "fall" into dangerous hands. Dangerous hands acquire weapons even in prison, where their actions are monitored by the constant watch of prison guards. When these criminals are in-between sentences, they steal firearms from wherever they can, regardless of national residence.

The US doesn't even factor into the top 15 school massacres in history, and many of the massacres are done by governments against their people, by disgruntled police, or terrorists.   8. Hey, I like his point about Congress equipping the militia. I would like an 81mm mortar with 100 rounds of HE and HEDP, a Stoner 63A LMG, and an ASP in my neighborhood stocked with crates of ammo. Congress needs to promote the common defense, amiright? Break me off a piece of the 2A pie! My pitiful AR-15s are not enough.

  11. ​ @MrRobschnieder  No such countries exist. I've lived all over Europe, to include Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark and have been to most countries there. The Healthcare is a joke compared to the US and everybody pays for it up front through heavy taxes, even if they never use it. Trying to compare standard of living of 334 million Americans to some little European country is an exercise in futility.

I've disproportionately and unfairly carried the financial burden of equipping and training all these years. I need some support. Some counties have high concentrations of black males who commit disproportionately high numbers of murders on each other. If you look at a homicide rate map of the US, you see the connections right away. In my State, we just don't have these problems for several reasons. We have a unique culture that emphasizes family, being good neighbors, and we have very easy access to firearms and concealed carry.

They don't discuss people's inherent freedoms, but restrict government from infringing on those freedoms. Without those restrictions on government, the American form of government ceases to exist and you have tyranny. After 1934, 1968, 1986, and 1994 infringements, we have very little left.

  18. ​ @emberfist8347 Secret Service firearms training is just a tad bit different than a soldier's. They get insane trigger time and are extremely proficient with repeated shot placement under stress with a variety of weapons.

The NYC firearms, stiletto, and black jack laws came during Prohibition when organized crime had taken over City Council, the Police Department, etc. The organized crime bosses in office banned other humans living in NYC from having self-protection, then issued special permits to their enforcers, who were making a killing on extortion rackets.

  25.  @jb7483  US has the largest farmland in the world which is also in a temperate zone, a vast connected river network, 3 huge mountain ranges in the lower 48, a much larger coastline with sea ports you can actually bring heavy displacement vessels into, multiple warm water sounds and bay areas, huge deposits of light sweet crude, NG, forests, dwarfing Russia's capacity in every meaningful metric. Russia has no natural infrastructure to transport, is extremely cold or soggy, limited harvest seasons, and relies almost entirely on imported US or European technology to run its farming and extraction.

  29. If you actually read through the NFA hearings, the Congressmen didn't know the difference between rimfire and centerfire, pistols, revolvers, or semi-automatic VS machine guns. They were complete ignoramuses at the most basic levels.

Firearms are used 500,000 - 2 million times per year according to FBI statistics gathered from local law enforcement agencies across the US, and those are only the reported ones.

  32. Thank you! I've been ringing this bell for years after reading the NFA Hearings. I printed it out to see why they included suppressors. There is so much more in there that we as gun owners aren't aware of.

There are 338 million Americans, 1.5 million military personnel (most don't even draw a weapon), and a little over 700,000 sworn LEOs. The US civilian population is 150 orders of magnitude bigger than military and LE combined. The main reason gun manufacturers chase military contracts is for prestige and marketing, because citizens and LE agencies are more likely to buy from brands that win military contracts.
