  2.  @HM55-77  Career politicians make horrendous Presidents as well almost all of the time. Teddy Roosevelt really broke the mold of the common man going to the WH, by insisting that Blue Bloods be the only ones who are entitled and capable of serving in that office. He despised common people in their heated caucuses and conventions, and looked down on them very much as untermenschen. We’ve had almost all Blue Bloods since, with their Ivy League cabinet heads and entrenched culture of elitism, exclusive clubs, societies, and winks/nods as to who holds the real power.

  3. Partisanship doesn’t determine intelligence, but this White House has literally filled itself with some of the dumbest, uneducated, most incompetent people in US history. How about be done with the partisanship and just have American Representatives, Senators, Governors, and Presidents?

My contacts in the Russian foreign ministry have been saying since the mid 2000s that they are taking back Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland once Putin achieves enough military re-building. They sounded crazy back then, but given their history in the region, I took them seriously. This is why Russia spent millions on donations to Clinton Global Initiative, Hunter Biden, and James Biden through various fronts, including Burisma and the former First Lady of Moscow’s prostitution and sex-trafficking business. They bought time and influence with the Biden family to help open a window for freedom of movement in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. This is why I believe Biden offered to rapidly evacuate Zelensky and his family as soon as the invasion kicked-off, as it would have created a leadership vacuum for Putin to fill with that first big push for Kiev that failed miserably after Zelensky said, “I don’t need a ride, I need ammo.” Biden was sucked into backing Ukraine after that, because all the other governments were doing it in Europe and the US would look really bad if we didn’t follow along.

  5.  @HM55-77  Trump was the first President in over 100 years who didn’t come from a Governor’s mansion, Vice Presidency, or any political career. Instead, he came from the private sector. Establishment Republicans and Democrats hated this, because it knocked many of them out of the running based on future slots available. Think of all the Senators and Governors who lust for power in the WH, and the huge financial backers of these weak sell-outs eager to put them into power to further the clench of the system.

  6. A President should be well-informed about who the US’s actual largest trade partners are. It isn’t the EU, but NAFTA with Canada and Mexico. Total trade in 2021 (Exports + Imports) Canada $665 Billion Mexico $661 Billion NAFTA Partner total: $1.326 Trillion EU $765 Billion (all EU nations combined) China $657 Billion He should also recognize that total US trade with other nations (imports + exports) was $4.7 Trillion in 2021, and that the US primarily deals directly with each nation, not through the EU. US Gross Domestic Product in 2021 was $22.996 Trillion. That means US trade is “only” exactly 20.4% of our overall economy. The rest is domestic production, spending, and consumption within our own borders.

  9.  @farzana6676  America has always been a dichotomy of internationalists and isolationists, since the Founders were literally British subjects, supported by France. Geographically, America is isolated and protected from any foreign invasions. Economically, America’s industrial strength and positive, sustainable population commands such a huge portion of global commerce, that it’s impossible to not be entangled. But we’ve been in retraction from our Cold War overseas permanent basing for 31 years, energy and food independent, and still the 2nd largest exporter in the world, with exports only a fraction of our economy.
