@benanders4412 False. Ukraine is an independent nation with their own borders, government, and elections. Russia has been influencing those doing everything in their power to place a puppet in Kiev, the last of which was Yanukovych. Yanukovych was ousted in 2014 after Ukrainians protested for 4 months when he rejected 79% of the people's will to establish favorable trade with Europe, and signed onto Putin's Russia-Eurasia Economic Pact.
