  4.  @alexlarsen6413  Yup. India financed much of the PAK-FA/Su-57 prototypes with $275 million, then saw the product and said, no thanks. Bought Rafales at $216m each instead.

  5.  @JohnMcClane11  BRICS is an impossible alliance logistically, even if all those nations loved each other. Instead, there are thousands of years of rivalry between the 2 oldest, a thousand years of rivalry between China & Russia, and thousands of miles of ocean between the rest. SA and Brazil are on two different continents and their seaport hubs below the equator. BRICS is a mean joke to play on those who are ignorant of geography and history.

  6.  @Տիգրան-ժ1է  That's the best way to determine real value, vs using Russia's internal deflated currency as a reference. The resources it takes to build a single Su-57 would be in the $150-$200m region minimum, and likely more, given the low rate of production. These are supposed to have 3 AESA Radars in the nose, a bunch of other RF sensors in the LEVCONs, LEFs, and tailplanes, OLS IRST, DIRCM, and other EW suite systems, plus they have 2 large afterburning turbofans and all the stealth adhesive appliques that need to be attached and painted over. Russia has never undertaken a fighter project like this before. When someone says they're only $35 million each, that's the price of a modern jet trainer, not any fighter.

  7. Regarding Patriots: NATO nations who have been operating it for decades sent their older Patriot batteries to Ukraine, since they were already scheduled for new orders through FMS from the US. We don’t want to leave some of them out to dry after they have sent substantial numbers of their launchers, Radars, and missiles to Ukraine.

  8.  @WiththegraceofgodHJ  The US has awakened to the reality that Pakistan isn't our friends, and their tight with China. Only reason the US supported the Pakis was due to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
