I just double-checked whether NATO made significant changes to their defense spending after Trump called them out, and they actually made substantial increases in defense spending that coincidentally occur after Trump took office and visited NATO, mentioning their lack of fulfilling their commitments. Defense is seen as a disease by many weak-minded and uneducated people in European Parliaments, especially after the fall of the Soviet Union. They still kept their heads in the sand after the rise of Putin, his nuclear forces revitalization program (assisted by Obama/Clinton/Biden with Uranium One), his invasion of South Ossetia and Georgia, and adventurism in Dagestan and Chechnya. Their wake-up call was 2014 when Putin invaded Donetsk and Luhansk, while annexing Crimea. It wasn't just Trump reminding them about their failure to meet NATO commitments for their own defense budgets, but their reliance on Russian Oil/NG. He tried to get the joint Canadian-US Keystone XL pipeline online, but front group lawsuits stalled it, then Biden killed it day 1 in office, sending oil back to over $100/bbl, which generates huge revenue for Russia.

@theamericandream5917 Julian Assange exposed John Podesta's emails. That was his true "crime". It showed how Hillary's campaign dictated to the media how her campaign would be promoted, many of whom sent emails years in advance offering their full support since they wanted her to run.

@dwn2573 The leaked Apache footage wasn't a war crime either, it was journalists carrying a long boom mic with fox tail that looked like an RPG in their FLIR. Sucks, but was a case of easily-mistaken PID. That was incorrectly parroted as war crimes, as if the Apache crews were hunting down journalists and gunning them with 30mm.

Including Oliver Stone's propaganda peddling. Anytime you hear someone talk about Russia doing something more advanced, be extremely skeptical. Many of the premises of his worldview and understanding of energy and the future are fundamentally flawed, starting with population projections. We're headed into population decline due to demographic collapse, not endless population growth with more demands for electricity.
