  1. Most junior high and high schools are built by the same contractors who build prisons, and the methods and designs share a lot of similarities. Same bricks, similar fencing and enclosures, doors, intercoms, etc. It's actually miraculous to me how many kids survive school and don't end up incarcerated.

  2. Schools are not capable of providing safety for their own staff, let alone the students. The public schooling system model adopted in the US has proven to be a massive failure, and should be closed for good. This is America, not 1806 Prussia. The experiment failed, unless the goal was to produce mindless automatons with no life skills.
