  6. My wife and kids can only fire our AR-15 pistols with braces when it comes to AR-15s, not the heavier, longer 16” carbines. Even when I have built them with lightweight barrels, they are too cumbersome compared to the shorter pistols. I want them to be able to defend themselves when we’re out camping in the wilderness, at home, or when traveling. Defensive use of firearms far outweighs criminal use of firearms.

  9.  @sinjin6219  I printed out the entire minutes of the 1934 NFA hearings so I could underline, highlight, and tab it as I was searching for where and why silencers were included in the NFA. What I learned instead was that the Attorney General who proposed the NFA admitted on day one that it was unconstitutional, but he suggested Congress could get around this fact by simply taxing the right of the people to keep and bear arms. If you brought that up before SCOTUS, they would be really surprised. Even more surprising is the fact that the Asst AG said they had to make the tax so high that nobody but the ultra wealthy could afford it, hence the $200 NFA Stamp tax (1934 was the height of the Depression and $200 was a ton of money back then).

  12. The US Service Rifle adopted in 1957 and fielded with Infantry units from 1959-1965, replaced by the AR15/M16 and M16A1 in the 1960s. I was issued all of those during my career, but the M14 was long-gone from the inventory by then from most units but mine. We used accurized versions of it called the M21 Sniper System, which had already been replaced by the M24, but we still had M21s in our arms rooms for the Recon/Scout Sniper Platoons. Neither the M14 nor M16 are machineguns, but the Congress of 1934 created a stupid definition that simply is incorrect from a technical standpoint. Machineguns are belt-fed, not magazine-fed in most cases. There are some Light Machineguns (LMGs) that were magazine-fed, but most LMGs are belt-fed and operate from an open-bolt, again with exceptions (Hk21). Nobody in this room was well-informed about the subject, both from a technical and legal perspective. The legal angle is astonishingly-simple.

She was making over $90,000/yr in the late 1980s teaching early elementary school, most of her students being from non-English speaking households from Mexico and Central America. Can you elaborate more on how you see greed playing into the GQP and the problems with schools? I’m trying to see the connection you’re referencing and not quite understanding what you mean.

  19. Soviets co-opted the FBI no later than the 1930s when homosexual Hoover was director, easily manipulated and blackmailed by the Mafia and Soviets. Soviets established their own international information ministry called International Organization of Journalists (IOJ). The US tried to counter it with Mockingbird from within the CIA, but CIA was filled with Soviet double agents from the start, so the Soviets easily co-opted Mockingbird from the start in the late 1940s-early 1950s, and flooded the US people with thinly-veiled anti-American disillusionment, followed by open anti-American propaganda from the main US broadcast firms and publishers. That’s one of the main pillars of how we got to where we are today.

FBI weaseled their way into existence under Hoover in the 1920s using bogeyman premises while defecating on local and State LEOs. The only function the FBI does that we need is counter-intelligence against foreign agents and assets operating in the US, and they suck at that since they were compromised by organized crime and the Soviets in the 1920s-1930s. All the other functions can be performed by inter-State compacts between Governors and State Troopers, especially white collar crime, inter-State crimes like human trafficking, RICO cases, financial crimes, etc.

This guy had at least 74 arrests, multiple felonies for unlicensed possession of explosives, with at least 100 different criminal charges. It's just really odd, no matter how you look at it.

Even the "independent" Swedish Saab Gripen is powered by a GE F404 or F414. The Viggen before it was powered by a Pratt & Whitney JT8D. The US foots the bill for large force exercises mostly as well. Theater Ballistic Missile Defense....US. NATO has been neglecting its defenses for generations now. Only Poland and Finland took things seriously since the 1990s.

I went to Montessori, public Kindergarten, on-base school overseas for 1st and 2nd, private for 3rd and first semester 4th, public for remaining 4th and all of 5th and 6th. Public for 7th at 2 different Junior High Schools, private Baptist school for 8th and most of 9th Grades, private non-denominational for remainder of 9th, on-base school for beginning of 10th, public for 10th and 11th, exchange student to Japan between 11th and 12th, finished out 12th in public high school. Believe me, I heard a lot of personal views and dogma from all kinds of teachers. I had everything from anti-medication rants from my 2nd grade teacher to my parents (she was right too, even though she didn’t like me), to uncontrolled bursts of anger-driven physical abuse from both public and private teachers, to religious and anti-religious dogma, pro-communist ideology from my Baptist science/home room teacher, interesting challenges to societal ideas and mainstream media tenets through personal research and interviews, sexually-deviant behavior synonymous with sex ed volunteers teaching oral application of condoms, claimed weird experiences with clairvoyance about RFK’s assassination, an incontinent art teacher who shat his pants and sucked at art, an English teacher who was on multiple rounds of Jeopardy, you name it. School by its nature is an indoctrination experience in devaluing the family through daily and systemic abandonment of children, physical conformity training through submission, silence, and obedience, and precious little academics in both public and private institutions. The whole thing is a racket that needs overhauling.

  43. Congress collected billions in tariffs before 1913 and were embarrassed about how much money the US could make through trade. Many States refused to even participate in the Federal income tax vote because it was unconstitutional. There was no war or emergency requiring a temporary taxation for raising an army.

Presidents propose budgets, but Congress actually writes, modifies, and passes budgets or continuing resolutions, which is what they've been doing now for ages. They haven't followed their own budget rules, with few exceptions, over the past 50 years.
