It doesn't matter if he just escaped from prison or was an Eagle Scout. The moment he fired the taser at the officer's face, he earned a dirt nap. You can cause permanent blindness with a taser. They fire darts that penetrate the skin 1/4" to 1/2". This is a set-up for a jury to not convict, so foreign-agitated BLM paid activists can then riot some more. Da should be fired and disbarred, maybe charged with prosecutorial misconduct.

DA needs to be fired. This incident has zero to do with Floyd.

@Onlyrealmusic4life Manufacturers of tasers for decades: These are Less Lethal Weapons, not non-lethal. LE training for decades: These are Less Lethal Weapons, especially when fired into the face, head, or neck. Train accordingly. Do more research before posting erroneous information.

I watched the other video where it looks like the taser darts went towards the officer's face. This is 100% bogus. I have my gripes when LEOs screw up, but in this case, they did everything by the book and were completely justified in their actions.

This is BS. The guy violently resisted a legitimate arrest for suspicion of DUI and failing the Field Sobriety Test, then stole one of their tasers, ran off, and as they chased him, aimed at one of the officers' faces and fired it. Tasers have darts that fire from the gun and penetrate the skin deep enough to support the electrical current. They can permanently blind you if they are fired into the face, or kill you if fired into the head or neck, which is why LEOs undergo specific training with them in order to use them safely. Tasers are Less Lethal, not non-lethal. Deadly Force was absolutely justified and this prosecutor should be fired immediately.

@isabellam1936 It's not murder when someone points a potentially lethal weapon at your face and discharges it. The moment you do that, you just surrendered your right to life. The police have a duty to protect society from dirtbags like this by stopping them from committing more acts of violence, especially once they have stolen a weapon from the police. There is zero defense for the dirtbag, and the police are absolutely justified in this specific case. It is a travesty of justice that they even considered them for prosecution after reviewing the dash cam.

@bethanychristiansen7499 What if he had killed someone after waking up after passing out drunk in the drive-through, driving that drunk on the streets? The police were doing their duty to respond to a DUI suspect passed-out in the drive-through. He resisted arrest, stole one of their tasers, and pointed it one of their faces, then fired. He earned every bullet they put into him, and this whole case is total BS being pushed by an activist racist DA who needs to be fired and prosecuted for misconduct in office.

@smacks9069 Their duty is to present a felonious drunk who just stole a taser from lashing out on other innocents, just as it was their duty to arrest DUI suspects parked in the drive-through. Once they chased him, he pointed the taser at one of their faces and discharged it. Tasers fire darts that penetrate the skin 1/4" to 1/2", which will cause permanent blindness if they hit the eyes. This is why LEOs have to undergo extensive training with tasers so that they minimize the chances of fatal or permanent injury when employing them. In the hands of a drunken violent offender, they are much more likely to be lethal or cause permanent injury. The one police officer is lucky he didn't lose his eyesight. But here I see people siding with a violent criminal with a long record who did everything wrong, while the officers tried to keep the situation under control, even selecting the tasers first before the criminal elevated the risks to more lethal ones. Don't every call 9-11 if you think they should have their hands tied even more. This had nothing to do with race, and everything to do with violent acts of a stupid drunk who was risking everyone else's lives around him just by getting out onto the streets in that inebriated of a state.
