@cloudpoint0 Blue collar union workers got screwed over hard in the manufacturing centers unless they were in defense. Automotive, appliances, electronics, household hardware, spare parts, tools, tires, got left out to dry by a combination of regulatory infringements and offshoring.

Boomers are aged 60-78, so most of them are retired or dead, with many of the younger ones taking early retirement. In 5 years, almost all of them will be retired and millions of them will have passed. They aren't buying houses, cars, appliances, or expensive consumer electronics and high dollar products anymore, since everything is about retirement income to try to survive through inflation.
