@LordRykard9376 The welfare state was built by Silent and GI Generations as voters in the 1930s-1970s. Early boomers couldn't vote until age 21 in mid-late 1960s, and were not a significant voter block anyway. Boomers didn't start voting as a meaningful block until the 1980s and 1990s, but were still part of a larger voter base that included Silent & GI generations.

Are you one of the roughly 50% of millenials who did what prior generations did by obtaining gainful employment in value-added fields, or have you struggled with employment and finding a place to fit?

@alexmeager233 Yes, after 2021, home price relative to household income stepped away from buying power of many millennials who did all the things they were asked to do. I’ve seen it as well and have told my kids that the model I grew up with doesn’t work anymore. Only incomes that generate above $150k will get you into a decent starter home in many places in the US.
