@addictiveaussie NATO never answered to James Baker. Eastern Europeans came scrambling to join NATO in the 1990s, because they know what Russia is after centuries of brutal lessons with their neighbor.

@theredscourge Soviets had 200 double agents already in the CIA when it was formed in 1947. They also had Reinhardt Gehlen in West German BND, and his staff. When Frank Wisner was tasked with Mockingbird, the Soviets co-opted it out of the gate, and turned it on us. It was meant to counter their IOJ, which was run out of Prague.

@DeltaEchoGolf Zelensky said he would step down if Ukraine could get a NATO membership. Putin doesn't want Ukraine supplanting Russian oil and natural gas supply to Europe, and doesn't want to lose control of all the resources and seaports. Europe doesn't want a Russian adventurous dictator on their doorstep. Europe was also happy to see the war drawn-out, where Russian forces could be attrited and would mean less risk for them in the future. It's an extremely difficult ball of wax to solve, because there are layers of conflicting interests that all fundamentally involve existential threats to each party, other than the US.

@carson1084 The FBI (BOI) was formed by Charles Joseph Bonaparte in 1908 to spy on members of Congress illegally, as well as businessmen and other influential people. Congress was thoroughly opposed to the creation of the BOI. Then Bonaparte's men had a talking to with these opposing congressmen and they changed their votes. One of the most notable opposing forces to the BOI was a congressman by the name of John Fitzgerald. Irish booze mob. It seems like nobody in the bureau or the electorate knows about this history. Either way the FBI was utterly corrupt from conception.

@petrskupa6292 He couldn't be more wrong on this, just like his election prophecies. I've been following Peter's work since the 2000s when he was at STRATFOR. He has TDS. You can tell because he refuses to give credit to Trump for negotiating the Abraham Accords and more Middle East peace deals than all US Presidents combined. He also totally ignored the Battle of Khasham in Feb 2018, and Trump's Foreign Military Sales to Ukraine the next month. This doesn't fit into the Trump-Russia narrative, which comes from the 2016 Hillary campaign.

The soviets co-opted the CIA before the ink was even dry and 1947. They had already been planting moles in the US since the 1930s and the OSS had a healthy amount of Soviet moles during and after the war. Zeihan is so far off on this with his TDS. Trump kicked Putin around like a little b*tch and didn't allow the multi-generational Russian moles in CIA to "inform" him with the corrupt PDB. There are far more competent intel organizations in the US than the CIA.

@DeftPol Peter has pointed out that both political parties in every single presidential election since 1992 did not have US foreign policy as a top priority. It has nothing to do with Trump, and everything to do with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Everybody wanted to get back to focusing on economics. One of the main purposes of the Clinton global initiative is to launder Russian money in exchange for strategic materials, intelligence, and compromises of critical US systems. Even before their White House days, the Clintons were selling the NSA's bank surveillance and seizure system to the Russians, Chinese, and other foreign governments not authorized to have the codes.

European dependence on the US is only going to increase as we move forward. The reason is that the European states have defunded and slashed spending on research development test and evaluation of advanced military systems. They also have cut production capacity of their old, going- osolete systems. So now the US is left as the only Advanced systems and defence manufacturing capacity Arsenal for Europe.

@adamjj001 Guard and Reserve soldiers generally have more maturity and experience than active duty. They are able to get leadership and organizational experience from the civilian sector as well as the military. I was active duty for 10 years, after having been a cadet for 3 years, then continued work in the security sector ever since. As AD, we dogged on guard units because we didn't know what we didn't know about them. For example, SF National Guard units have a lot more skill sets to bring to the table than active duty SF units. The person in question, Tulsi Gabbard, has a balanced mix of experience from military command with GWOT deployments and serving in Congress, with access to defense & intel briefings. She's working with General Flynn, Pete Hegseth, and other leaders who are actual Patriots, versus the treasonous swamp rats of DC.

@AlexA-ko8lu Billionaires like Trump engage in the free market exchange of goods & services for monetary compensation. In Trump's case, it has primarily been in the construction industry. They don't need bribe money from stupid Russians or Chinese. That's for worthless politicians like Biden, the Clintons, Bushes, and Obamas. They have zero value to add to society, other than controlled access to sensitive things for our enemies.

Trump did most of his business in real estate construction projects. Worthless politicians Who have nothing to offer other than being sock puppets for their financiers hate him for that. He exposes how totally useless and negative they have been for America and the world. They don't have any goods or services to offer that are legitimate.
