@Rjsjrjsjrjsj Zeihan's framework is from the old decorum of White House protocols and cabinet meetings that were last seen in Bush41 and Bush Jr White Houses. Clintons threw that out the window by bringing in criminals and radicals who ran the WH like a frat house, and many of those came back with the Obama WH. Biden is used to the older decorum from DC culture dating to the 1970s, but has a really young, diversity-hire staff who don't have a clue what they're doing. This is Zeihan's metric for "managerial experience", while ridiculing Trump's. Trump is the only President who came from a private sector background totally foreign to WH/DC meetings, where the can is kicked down the road. In the private sector, you have to demonstrate competency and the ability to manage highly-capable teams of people to produce results, especially in the billionaire sector. This is why I thoroughly disagree with the managerial assessment of the Trump WH, as chaotic as it was. Look at the results in terms of energy independence, economic growth, trade relations favoring the US, defense, and peace negotiations between Arabs and Israelis, while lighting a fire under NATO to honor their defense spending agreements. No President has accomplished anywhere near that in 4 years. JFK comes closest in terms of dealing with crises, but only had 2 years and 9 months.

@listener523 Reagan ran circles around most Presidents on his worst day when it came to speeches due to his decades of acting experience, and his many years of speaking gigs he did touring across the Nation. He was a brilliant public speaker. Biden makes Nixon's 1960 TV debate performance look like a seasoned pro. Biden is beyond an embarrassment, and always has been. He was mocked out of the primaries in 1988 by the DNC.

Governor experience is historically one of the best preparatory jobs for the Presidency by DC standards, but I feel like we need more real-world business leadership from people who are used to interacting with a wide range of blue and white collar employees, as well as various entrepreneurs and small business owners.

@aguy559 Entire stadiums of Americans do it as the norm at games. It undermines the election results claiming that 82 million people voted for Biden-a guy who can’t even draw flies for his own, rare rallies.

@edgeldine3499 Biden was a poor student at Syracuse Law, has always been gaffe-prone, can’t deliver a speech without saying really offensive things or making huge factual errors, and should never have been allowed into public service outside of a manual labor job. He would do well emptying the waste bins, sweeping the floor, “Hi Joe!” as long as it was in some type of adult correctional institution with no children around. He’s a self-described pedophile who revealed to his Syracuse Law roommate that he can’t keep his hands off kids unless he “chokes the chicken” before he goes out into public, and can’t drink, otherwise he will lose total control. That was in the 1960s. The Soviets picked-up on this as a great vector for coercing him, then propped up his Senate candidacy in Delaware in the 1972 via Council for a Livable World (Soviet active measures program to get as many politicians into office in the US who act as moles).

@aguy559 He had multiple aneurysms, including one that burst in the region of his brain that affects speech. He joked about it when he was VP, saying they "cut my head off with a saw and went down in there to stop the bleeder". He was always making really stupid and gaffe-prone remarks in the 1980s though. He was never even House material, let alone Senate.

@jager6863 Obama was hired by Business International Corporation (a CIA front company for financial intelligence gathering), as well as his Constitutional Law Professor days. Both he and Biden are some of the least-experienced occupants to ever set foot in the WH in that regard.

@Rjsjrjsjrjsj I looked over all my posts and didn’t find one that was even remotely-long, at least for students of geopolitics. If you found them to be long-winded, I would suggest taking up another topic of interest that is more fit to a short attention span.

@cappehnkrunch Are you aware of how many union workers voted for Trump? Trump isn’t a partisan, but a populist. When was the last time you saw a politician regularly pack rallies with tens of thousands of people? That is an extremely rare type of person when it comes along. In the past, it was built with fake media cult of personality campaigns, carefully orchestrated with the person’s handlers. Think FDR. Reagan was unique because he had so many years of acting and being in front of cameras, so he knew how to connect with people from lots of practice, which got him into Congress and the Governorship of CA. Trump has had his finger on that pulse for decades by being involved in high-publicity events, TV programs, and working with a lot of blue collar people on his construction projects. He understands people and the numbers better than any politician since Reagan.

The US isn’t a democracy. The Founders were very aware of the danger of democracy, and established a Representative Republic with separation of powers to avoid the chaos of democracy. Another major problem that is really elemental to the US political system in practice is that corporate powers own the media, and own the politicians. The big-letter media corporations are nothing but advertising agencies for their corporate owners, and you can verify this by looking at the board members who sit on the media conglomerates that own all the legacy news. This is why Joe Rogan has a larger following than any legacy media talking head. People have no trust in corporate media because of all the lies and distractions. It’s why STRATFOR and Peter Zeihan have been so refreshing for me over the past 15 years. They aren’t focused on the typical media sensationalist headlines and partisan garbage, but more about ground truth geography, history, economics, and demographics.
