  1. Prigozhin said this whole thing has been based on lies, that Ukraine was never a threat to Russia, but that Russian boyars wanted to pilfer more than the Donbas. This was designed to avoid directly criticizing the Czar, giving Putin a chance to agree with Prigozhin and have an out. Putin doubled down in support of his inept, incompetent, and corrupt generals instead.
