North Carolina used to be big in textiles, contract sewing, and furniture manufacturing until hostile Washington DC policies forced those businesses to Indonesia, China, and Vietnam. 9/11 saw a bit of revival of military textiles and sewing, but not at the previous scale for the commercial sector.

@helifanodobezanozi7689 PV cells degrade over time and need replacement eventually. Wind is kind of a sad joke with significant environmental impacts, maintenance issues, and inefficiency. Climate patterns shift, so regions you thought could be relied on for certain characteristics might not be like that just 10-20 years later. I live in the high desert/mountains. Over the past 2 years, we've experienced a lot of tropical-like rainstorms due to California wildfires, since California refuses to manage its forests with firebreaks and sound forestry anymore. We've had flooding as a result.

@dogblack3400 Uh, Democrats supported offshoring of US labor for generations now, starting with restrictive policies on business in labor, environmentalist laws that big corporations avoid, and taxation. Republicans and Democrats are financed by the larger corporations, whereas more local politicians see the effects of offshoring regardless of party. It’s not a simple Dem vs Rep argument, but the Dems have been the worst about attacking businesses and making it difficult to operate them. You would think Democrats would favor US labor with all the union votes, but the ideology around environmentalist cult behavior throws the US worker to the curb, in favor of Chinamen and other Asians, especially as China finances so many Democrat candidates with bribes. This is why the Dem party is losing the union vote, but cracking down on making sure they COUNT the union vote more, while managing expanded ballot-harvesting and stuffing scams.

@joeanonimous1105 There was no free & fair election in 2020. That was a giant scam that was being contested with dozens of votes of no confidence being placed in the Capitol on Jan 6, when hundreds of FBI assets and ANTIFA wearing red hats stormed the Capitol bldg. This is right out of Soviet ideological warfare rigged election transformation 101, complete with false flags to implicate your opponent.
