@taylormajors5677 Scandinavian/Nordic countries are great at propaganda that their citizens simply accept as reality and rarely question. I'm half Finn, have lived there many times since 1979. I love the Nordic nations and people, but their governments are atrociously incompetent.

@taylormajors5677 The Scandinavian/Nordics rely on advanced US aerospace technology for their most capable systems. Sweden is good at making cannons, some ships, and lower-tier weapons. The Gripen is a US, UK technology system primarily. Airframe design comes from the Convair-200, which the Brits took for the P-106, neither of which was ever produced. Engine is US GE F404 or F414 for Gripen E/F. Radar is Leonardo using licenses from Raytheon. Databus is old school US Mil-1553B. Ejection seat is Martin-Baker from UK. Weapons are US or US initiatives made by MBDA. Look up a systems origin diagram of the Gripen on image search. It's embarrassing.
