@Wothanar. You need to actually LOOK AT THE DATA-at the Cornoavirus dasboard site for example- and you will see that is not true. New York State had a total of 32,000 deaths from Covid-19 while the total killed by the virus for the US is now about 130,000 or four times as much. New York has seen a decline in cases and deaths in the last couple months while southern states are experiencing a rapid case increase which is already overwhelming hospitals. Florida, Texas, Arizona and California account for half of the daily increase of Covid cases which is now at high of 44,000 per day. Most of the other states contributing to the case increase are also in the south, Georgia, South Carolina etc. etc.

@Thebathulk10. Someone always has a complaint about some piece of information that should be included. And this news bit is only a couple minutes long so don't expect a comprehensive report. Besides that info about the testing is not necessary anyway. Even if testing is increased that means the testing finds cases that were ALREADY there which is of course the reason for doing a high level of testing to find out how extensive the spread is in the state.
