  5. This video didn't make that correlation. But also there is no evidence any harmless encampments started these fires.

  6. One logical possibility for the cause of the first was that the strong Santa Ana winds brought down power lines which sarked on the ground starting some of the fires. Arson as a cause cannot be ruled out either and in fact an arson investigation was opened today though I don't know the details.

  7. These fires happened in a mostly residential region so the proper maintenance of the forest is almost moot, but I guess if that's the only card you've got to play. . . .?!
