  1. At 13:15 when uou state the reasons for American ignorance of the world the middle 3 really stand out the most from my perspective. American imperialism has been one of the domknant themes driving this country from early 19th century when we kept scarffing up land to fulfill our greedy drive to control the continent from "sea to shining sea". And of course we werent above stealing land from another country in war to meet that imperalist goal. We have even advanced that imperalist mandate to most every corner if the world with over 700 military bases. No other country comes remotely close to this level of influence. And th8s imperialistic drive has made its way into what we call Anerican Exceptionalism. In other words we get to throw our weight around anywhere in the world we choose, but no one else better do the same. Cold war paranoia is the second of the 3 that I see as carrying a lot of the weight for american ignorance. This has played to an extreme fabrication of lies about how the Russians still had one of the most advanced militaries in the eorld even after the break up of the USSR. This seems to have manifested in pushing the expansion of NATO right up to the russian border. The Russians have also been caught up in their own paranoia with Putin being so concerned as to go to war with Ukraine despite having signed a nonagression pack with that country several years ago. So both US AND Russian paranoia have played into thos war in Ukraine. Lastly is the moral puritanism in this country which seems most domjnated by the Christo-fascists who are determined to force their rigid puritanical idealology on the rest of country under the Project 2025 label in conjunction with the inherently delusional, but narcissistic new occupant of the WH. Nothing defines american ignorance like the election of a candidate who was nasty, lies, is a poor debater and has only concepts of plan for the country, but in reality his regressive policies will make those who voted think twice about their decision.
