What I think is that this video was about the worst explanation on population growth which very weakly tries to justify why it isn't a problem. Basically your assessment makes the fundamental error of only seeing population growth from a human perspective as if humans are the only ones that occupy the planet. The second fundamental flaw is not taking into account the impact of global warming on the earth and ALL of its inhabitants. So in the first issue of only seeing population growth from a human perspective is that it ignores the inherent reality that what we do to the earth we do to ourselves. As we pollute the air, sea and land with countless toxins we degrade the quality of life for everyone. Illness and death is at unprecedented levels though it has improved in developed countries because of more stringent regulations. The human use and occupation of land and sea is threatening the habitats of wildlife around the world and resulting in many people living in environments that fragile or worse collapsing. This is all because of human exploiting the planet for its own purposes with little concern for nonhuman residents. The present rate of wildlife extinction is so severe as to be called the Sixth Extinction. Add to this the threat of global warming which could very likely make some parts of the globe uninhabitable. And even if that means people moving to areas of low population like northern Canada people would find limited refuge there because it is the Arctic that is warming 2--3 times as fast as the rest of the earth. Remember the 38 C or 100 F temps in Siberia last summer? . I could go on with more detail and examples why such narrow focused videos on population not being a problem as not only complete folly, but downright delusional.

@Essdyn That is also a relevant point as well. 👍

@tylersoto7465 If we allowed development in Antarctica that would inevitably degrade the environment. Human habitation must be kept to an absolute minimum there both for the wildlife but also to preserve the pristine beauty of the place particular as it concerns the glaciers. Already several glaciers are accelerating their melt rate in western Antarctica which of course portends a rise in sea level. Why make the problem worse?

@TheHighRoad1748 Here's a list of a few of what pfps might stand for. However because you preceded the abbreviation with the word blank the only thing that came up was something on tik tok and other social media sites none of which I ever have anything to do with, but apparently you do. So in addition to reassessing the intent of your obviously passive aggressive comment perhaps you could learn to articulate your comment in more familiar terms more likely to be recognized by a majority of the population especially because you have no idea who I am beyond my comment. Unless of course you don't care about any of those things in which case, never mind. @aWell kind of goes without saying. Even after each of five major extinctions through the last 450 million years life has always come back. The problem for humans is they may not survive this extinction that is underway. And the impact of human activity on the earth is resulting in a broad decline of life across the planet. That is all well documented. And there are a lot of scientists much smarter then I from different professions who are saying that.

@a I wouldn't say that we can't do anything. After all we can get out of the way. Stop development on the Gulf or housing in forest areas that are yet to burn, but you are also mostly correct. There are some natural disasters that could be devastating. And I keep saying that it is what humans do each other in wars and forcing many people to live in substandard conditions leading to a higher mortality. For ex. The Rohingya exiled from Myanmar into Bangladesh in a refugee camp of several 100,000! Or this war crime being perpetrated on Ukraine.
