  1. There is no easy answer to that question. You need to research the difference between regional geographic features as they relate to regional weather phenomena. Not all cities create "guerilla rain storms. Tokyo does because it is such a massive city which creates its own weather by creating a heat island effect which increases humidity and that can enhance the high precipitation that occurs in the area.

  2. How long is going to take you to realize what a serious problem global warming is. And it will only become more serious in the future. This is year expected to be a very busy hurricane season. This would be first time ever recorded to have five busy hurricane seasons in a row. If you aren't concerned it's because you aren't paying attention!!!

  3. I think you misunderstood what the Japanese gentleman was saying. He was NOT saying the global warming was the cause of the city sinking, but that Tokyo must make every effort to protect itself from all manner of threats including global warming. Global warming is causing sea level rise which is increasing the threat of flooding from tsunamis as well as excessive rainfall. Coastal cities around the world are all faced with this dilemma of how to protect their city from flooding due to hurricanes, tsunamis and excessive rainfall.
