  1. Perhaps what this search for the "mother" language leaves out is that maybe language arose simultaneously in many places. The earliest hominids communicated probably much like apes do now and as the vocal cords evolved among different groups of Homo erectus or H. sapien they could have each learned to speak in distinctive ways completely independent of other groups. This makes a heck of a lot more sense then trying to find the original mother language. But I am an admitted lay novice on this subject and I'm sure some paleoanthropologists have better ideas based in science.
