  1. The intent of this US action was to limit the abilities of only certain groups like isis. The rebels that have swept through Syria are being left along as they have been opposed to this government for more than a decade. The Kurds have also been allowed to take back control of some of the territory they had lost under Assad. This could turn out to have a positive outcome, but it's too early to say.

  4. ​ @Klaatu2Too  1). The US is not engaging in any regime change in Syria as the Assad government abdicated its authority by leaving the country. It is the rebels who have been fighting the Assad government since 2011 that are moving in to replace it. So your comment about US participating in regime change is completely irrelevant!! 2) Your comment about Ukraine is a deflection and also irrelevant besides Russia had previously signed a non-aggression treaty with Ukraine so their invasion of Ukraine violated that treaty agreement!

  5. Why are you claiming that whatever replaces Assad will be at least as bloody as him?? These rebels that have so quickly moved through the country have been oppressed by Assad for over a decade and now have the chance to bring peace to the country. Why not give them a chance? It's not like you have a choice anyway?!

  10. This isn't about taking anything, but eliminating the isis cells hanging out in Syria. Once that is done the US can leave and monitor from nearby as they usually do anyway.

  13. The only thing trump will change is to further enrich himself and his billionaire peers and gain more power for himself. What he will do to this country and its people remains to be seen, but he will be getting a lot of resistance along the way. trump is more incompetent and delusional than when he came in office 8 years and that was clear sign of his incompetence and corrupt nature.
