  1. Much of northern US is cold in the winter. Then in the southwest there are several deserts that limited crop yields. That has only changed in the last 80 years with the damming of the Colorado as well as many other rivers throughout the west.. Even in the northern half of California and the northwest of the US populations were generally hunter gatherer until white settlement came along and ruined it with dams and over population. So there were other factors that allowed the southeast of Asia to become so densely populated.

  2. 😅🤣😂. Sorry for laughing, but the whole world isn't living comfortably with the borders that we have now! Of course we could if we could get over our differences and replenish our need for control, but unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon. Especially because of climate change we are starting to see a reduction in available water which is a sure way to bring about conflict because some people/countries don't like to share.

  3. It is more accurate to say that in addition to corn, beans and squash were the prominent foods cultivated in Mesosmerica. They became known as the Three Sisters which eventually made their way north via trade to the Southwest peoples like the Anasazi at least 2000 years ago.
