  1. This was about creating artificial gravity via a rotating space station. Your suggestion is far less likely because of the difficulty of maintaining a constant 1G force acceleration even just to the moon.

  2. That might not be an issue with a massive torus shape. With say a 100 m wide torus with a dozen or two people on board. Nevertheless you raise an interesting point and I'm sure the math could be done to reveal the limit of people in a rotating space station.
