@unclescipio3136 I would dispute that given the sadistic behaviors of murderers, serial killers and just look at the torture and atrocities done in war. People have often been tortured over days which is far worse than the violence perpetrated by chimps!! Let's not forget people came into the chimps territory. It should be something the government manages better, but with a pitiful budget they probably have they can't afford to do more. That is not just a problem in Uganda but a global problem!!

If people continue to push into the forest that had been occupied by chimpanzees then why are surprised by the aggressive reaction by the chimpanzees? This isn't an isolated event as people are pushing natural habitats all over the world which threatens the wildlife in that area. The inability of the human species is part of what is leading to the decline of natural habitats and consequently the decline in wildlife. This decline in wildlife ultimately threatens humanity as well in many ways such as acquiring diseases from wildlife that can cause a pandemic. Sound familiar??

@Lemarchelesa We are part of the natural world, but the problem is that countries, corporations and many individuals are all about controlling nature or destroying it for monetary gain or for some just to survive. That is a direct consequence of too many fa-qing people on this planet!!

@bungus9435 That is what every people does on the earth. We are constantly expanding into natural habitats which threatens wildlife and plants everywhere. As we expand in wild areas humans are also increasingly exposed to infectious diseases that are lethal to people. Ebola, covid and AIDS are just a few examples. Consequently, because of this invasion by humans into natural habitats we are seeing an increase in the number of threatened and endangered species. When we lose the natural world human existence will collapse soon afterward. Human population growth is like cancer and like cancer we destroy everything that gets in our way. There are many protections for wildlife and their habitats, but it's not happening at a large enough scale to prevent an eventual disaster at least not yet. There is still time for humans to wake up!!

@renegade501 It happens all over the country EVERY GO DAMN DAY!! Why point to Chicago when other cities have a worse per capital murder rate? Like St Louis for example? Why pick on any city as if that one stat defines them??

@lumberpilot You'll have to ask them, but I suspect that these tribal people have never used dogs for such protection. Besides this is a relatively new phenomena so people don't change old habits easily.
