There wreckage of the Titan or at least most of it has been brought so there would be nothing to see down there.

Well obviously you don't care, but it is standard practice to retrieve debris for an accident whenever possible to determine the cause. The investigation could result in regulations to prevent some other egomaniac from trying to satisfy his ego. In fact this is usually how new regulations are created after a tragedy.

@lebski6033 If you listen James Cameron who knows what he is talking about he said there was a loud bang picked about 90 minutes into the descent. Since the Titanic is at 12,500 feet that means the sub was at least three quarters of the way down or more than 9000 ft. That is easily deep enough to cause an implosion and virtually destroy the contents.

No what that means is that a search was begun almost immediately and continued until confirmation from authorities of what happened based on the loss of comms and tracking. The authorities suspected the worst, but could not confirm that until the O2 supply was gone. That came after the 96 hours had run out so they were presumed dead. Then the effort to retrieve the sub remains began. It is pretty easy to follow the timeline if you had heard the news reports.
