This Christian god that we are told to never mock must have a very thin skin and it sounds a lot like a soon to be White House occupant. Sad when Americans learned nothing the first time around?!

Take your meds dude! 🙄

Just like a typical tornado the conditions have to be just right for one to form. In the case of these fire tornadoes the fire creates rapidly rising hot air which tends to rotate upward as it rises. This would be frightening to see up close in addition to the fire.

How is the military going to control this fire any better than the fire departments?? And what does what happened with Katrina which was flooding caused by a hurricane have anything to do with several fast moving fires in Los Angeles??
2
It's caused by the rapid updraft created by the fire.
2
That's true only if you are naive enough to believe that God had anything to do with this?!
2
Not just 15 feet tall but as much as 30 feet tall!! That's a small tornado down there created by the rapid updraft from the fire.

@JaeElroy I drove through Oklahoma a couple times last year driving cross country and recall those towns that were hit. I have always felt a strong empathy for people who live with tornadoes. And last year was an especially bad year in the number and destruction from tornadoes. Stay safe, stay well! 👍

Worry about your own sins boy unless of course you don't have any!! 🙄

Show me an American city without sins!?!?

You just had to bring up that silly "woke" language didn't you?!

Better to be addicted to dope then to woke is that it?! 😁😂

Naw. We aren't at the end of times yet. Unfortunately, this is just the warm up. So I'm going to continue to pent for a while you know of repent. Besides I don't like to rush things!!

Without seeing the destruction it causes it's impossible to guess at what this fire tornado would be rated at.

Just a couple questions; When was god mocked? And is god so thin skinned that he takes offence to being mocked? Curiously, trump also takes offence at the drop of a hat?! And maga rushes to shield trump just like some people rush to protect god when they perceived him to be mocked! I guess that means god is not all powerful then is he!?

Actually if fire fighters can get in front of fire they create a fire break to interrupt the forward motion of the fire, but this is especially hard to do when these Santa Ana winds are pushing the flames so fast

Yes this has much less to do with better technology and instead recognizing the following: 1) the southwest US was never meant to be densely populated. There are close to 40 million people in the southwest states which are mostly desert or at least relatively arid climates. 24 million are in southern California alone. 2) People have to accept that these fires were eventually going to happen because we have been seeing worsening fires throughout the west in the last 15 years. Add to that is the fact that Los Angeles is normally in a rainy season at this time, but instead it is in a severe drought which began back in May!! When the Santa Ana winds came they only needed a spark to set off a firestorm. The fires were driven so fast by the wind that throwing water at it was largely ineffective. Only when the winds calmed down could fire fighters hope to make progress. The way forward will mean a fundamental change in how we relate to the world. The alternative is more of the same.

@VOAN There is no confirmation as yet of someone starting these fires so stop spreading misinformation. Besides once a fire REGARDLESS of the cause it is as natural as can be. It will still burn like any other fire and when it is really windy like it has been because of the Santa Ana winds then it becomes especially dangerous.

Some people will grasp for connections no matter how absurd they are!! 🙄

So do you worship Joe Rogan like the maga worship trump?? It's no wonder this society struggles to move forward?!
1
What is "they" you are talking about?? Vague statements don't make for much clarity.

Are you going for the Most Irrelevant Comment on YouTube?? If so you got my vote!! 👍

These disastrous fires were eventually going to happen on this large scale because of several factors coming together. Too many people want to live in this lush temperate climate with mild weather year round. This region was never meant to support millions of people in fact 24 million live in southern California!! And im not just talking about southern California because every state in the southwest is vulnerable to serious wildfires. Remember the 300 K acre grassland fire in the north texas panhandle a year or so ago?! It's hard enough to provide enough food to all of those people, but to provide enough water as well is taxing the environment and the human ability to distribute it. On top of the burgeoning population is growing spectre of climate change. Los Angeles is mormally in its rainy season at this time, but instead it is bone dry with the region only receiving 1/4 inch of rain since last May!! Increasing drought was predicted by climate scientists decades. Some people have even said that the climate scientists are always wrong in their predictions and yet here we are! Now combine the drought with the Santa Ana winds and there's a recipe for a fire storm. Even if an arsonist started any of these fires that alone doesn't explain their blowing up so fast. This will continue to happen in other cities and regions until we all begin to take radical steps to change our life styles. The attachment to living in luxory has got be down sized. Living in densely populated cities in houses that can't resist fast moviing fires has got to change. Don't live in this part of the country if you are afraid wildfires of course many will be willing to still take the risk. A few more fires like this will change anyone's mind!!

😂😅. Personally I have had enough of the sanctimonious krap spewed by many of the fundamentalist Christians. Instead of showing humility (as preached by Jesus in your own damn Bible) they/you instead scream your message out like it was a threat. Consequently, I keep all religions at arms length, but you go ahead and do you just expect push back from us heathen atheists when you get too loud!!
1
That is never a good question to ask because the answer could be more terrifying and besides no one could answer that anyway other than saying these fires could burn for a while yet as long as the strong winds are blowing!!

@JaeElroy People have an amazing capacity of overcoming adversity and loss. In 1906 almost the entire city of San Francisco burned down after a massive earthquake and a subsequent fire. And yet the city was rebuilt and the population increased. In 1666 a fire devastated London burning most of the city and it recovered and became one of the most prominent cities in the world for a time. Los Angeles will eventually get a handle on this fire and it will probably do so long before much of the city is destroyed which is now at barely 1 % of the whole city that has burned.
