There you go again projecting your own emotional insecurities!!

It's always an unnecessary distraction when a couple of trash talking trolls show up to pollute the comments with their negativity.

😅😂. One of the problems with short videos like this one is that a lot of information gets left out. Like the primary method for actually measuring altitude is by using a technique called satellite radar alimeters which measures radar waves to measure mountain height. The planes in the 15 year long research were measuring the gravity levels on earth and from this more accurate altitudes of the mountains can be determined from the satellite data. Almost every short video is likely going to lack some key detail which could provide a better understanding especially concerning a subject in science.

@IceLynne Have you really not noticed that it is not just California or Colorado that appears to be going down hill?? It is the whole country after all and it is a direct consequence of two factors. One is the increasing wealth disparity in this country. The wealthy always get their way with Congress and rest of the country rarely does. This has a devastating ripple effect in other ways such as stagnant wages, increasing number of homeless, worsening crime and on and on. The second big reason for the decline in the country is burgeoning military budget which is at 800 BILLION with B. The more that is spent on the military the less is available for schools and numerous social programs to help disabled, seniors, and on and on again. The US is so armed to the teeth that we have completely forgotten that country isn't strong because it has a strong military. The US is only strong when the people are taken care of and then the people are willing to serve the country in any way possible to make it better. And while both democrat and republican administrations have been responsible for the first two points it has been far and away republicans who favored big business and the wealthy over the average American. And now with the SCOTUS also becoming legislative body by its extreme activist rulings the demise of this country is greatly accelerated.

The big question not answered by this video is how many people have tested positive there? There was a partial count of 102 reported on MSMBC today April 27, but the plant only allowed people with symptoms to be tested. The real count is in hundreds.

No country anywhere in the world can catch all the rain that falls in their country. California has over 1300, but people still complain that they want more without understanding the complexity of adding more reservoirs.

I think you are over estimating the benefit that desalination plants can provide. Check out this article except "Why Desalination won't save States Dependent on Colorado River Water". Desalination plants are costly to operate, require enormous amounts of energy and are difficult to manage in an environmentally-friendly way, according to water policy experts". The reason that they are difficult to manage in an environmentally friendly way is because of the large quantities of brine produced. This is not easily recycled or disposed as waste. It also cannot be returned to the ocean because it is so concentrated with salt and various toxins.

@gooutandsungaze One of the biggest problems with growing alfalfa in the desert is on land that has been purchased by countries like Saudi Arabia. But the big reason alfalfa is grown in the desert climate is because of the higher percentage of sunny days producing a higher yield. Same with a lot of other crops.

@gooutandsungaze Maybe we will come to our senses about ending this stupid arrangement whereby countries SA can buy land in the southwest to grow alfalfa and God knows what else. Especially since the stakes are getting higher.

@mustangracer5124 Actually it is the RED STATES that receive the most fed money. That is easily verified in a quick search. You really ought to educate yourself kid!

@BishopWalters12 It is way more then just the banks how republicans differ from democrats. Notice how a few republicans opposed Trump in last 18 months. Why is it only two republicans are on the Jan 6 committee investigating Trump's attempt to lead an insurrection to retake the WH?? It was republicans who started the biggest wars in the last 20 years. It is republicans mostly in denial of climate change because it would affect their main supporters: big business. Why are republicans so hellbent on ending abortion when they clearly don't care about the unborn. If they did they would help pass legislation to provide better prenatal care for pregnant mothers and continued support for mothers and newborns. The reason republicans don't care is because they only care about power for themselves and their wealthy supporters. Republicans have been increasingly in the power and control mode especially since Reagan. And with the conservatives gaining control of the SCOTUS they can manipulate election financing to benefit themselves. Citizens United tells us all we need to know about their intentions!! Sorry, not sorry if all my points are too much to absorb, but this is what is going on. And I just scratched the surface.

@BishopWalters12 What does the 2020 violence have to do with the Jan 6 committee? That is actually classic conservative/republican talk. Instead to responding to the comment you deflect to something completely unrelated. HELL you couldn't even articulate what you meant by the summer 2020 violence!! But if you want to go there what about the multiple black men murdered by white cops in 2020? And one of those criminal cops was sentenced to 21 years for murder! Eat that!!

There are actually 15 dams on the Colorado River which also flows along the borders of Nevada and California the three it flows through.

@Inkdisc Your figures are way over simplified and leave out the detail that makes sense of California's high water needs. This list is just the top ten food items that California produces for the entire country and much is also sold to other countries. One third of all produce and three quarters of all fruits and nuts are grown in California. Notice how almonds is number three and avocados aren't even on the list. Plus there are are dozens more food items that supply the entire country. This is without even addressing that California has the largest population in the country by far!! Dairy Products, Milk — $7.57 billion Grapes — $5.23 billion Almonds — $5.03 billion Cattle and Calves — $3.11 billion Strawberries — $3.02 billion Pistachios — $2.91 billion Lettuce — $2.03 billion Tomatoes — $1.18 billion Walnuts — $1.02 billion Rice — $1.00 billion

@Inkdisc That is a better response then I could have thought of however I don't know if the rest of the country could make up the difference easily if the California farmers saw their ability to farm collapse because of a lack of available water. At the rate we are going we might find out eventually. But you know as well as well as I do that it isn't about produce items that we can do without. As long as a significant profit can be made the growers will keep growing them. Only when some circumstance such as a more severe prolonged drought causes farmers to pull up stakes and move on or retire will that change.
