Comments by "Michael Deierhoi" (@michaeldeierhoi4096) on "An Ice Free Arctic???... A Reality Soon? (w/ Guest: Prof. Peter Wadhams ScD)" video.
Peter Wadhams said that Guy McPherson is the one with the dispairing attitude. He Wadhams doesn't feel we need to go that far. But he adds that if we don't start getting serious then despair may become common.

Read his book. It is another way to learn about the changes in the climate that are well under way. I read it and found it excellent.

There has been no record sea ice since 2014. And that was just one year. Since then it has been running below average and it is now Oct 2019. Go to the NSIDC site and you can see the data.

@Robert. Peter Wadhams never said that another molecule of CO2 was added but it would be the EQUIVALENT if we lose the Arctic sea ice in summer. Maybe you have seen the light since that last comment three years ago?!

@KirkMcLoren Its three years on from last comment. After all the change that has occured in the climate because of rising CO2 and methane Increase in heat waves, drought, flooding and stronger hurricanes, do you still cling to such an antiquated understanding about climate? Just curious.

You are part of the denial that is concerning. Peter Wadhams spent almost 50 years studying the Arctic. How much time have you spent up there? Of course it is already 3 years on and maybe you woke up and are working on a climate science degree. If that is the case my apologies.

Unfortunately it is not just our government. There is a serious inertia in confronting this problem around the world.

No he didn't! Gore definately did not say that. Even his documentary The Inconvenient Truth in I think 2006 was not so pessimistic. We are getting close to a summer free sea ice.

@B R Pawan. What do you mean by "we don't get to see it"? If you go to sites the NSIDC site which monitors the Arctic and Antarctic sea ice levels constantly you will the reports about how the Arctic is trending down over time in extent and volume. This Sept 2019 was the second lowest extent and close to the lowest volume of sea ice reported from this site. There are other sites too as well as videos on Youtube showing a graphic of the decline in sea ice over the last 35 years.

@Cielos. Are you such an unobservant person that you never noticed there are some who smile a lot?

@Robert Bonneau Peter Wadhams has a Phd in Oceanography and has studied the Arctic for almost 50 years. What do you know about the Arctic that can compare to that kind of education and experience??
