It is always a problem when people start to over generalize. Such is the case when people make statements like people in cities are more connected to groups while people in small rural towns are more free thinkers. I have often found the opposite to be true with many free thinking individuals living in cities because they are exposed to many more diverse activities and groups, but don't necessarily get too attached to any one activity or group. Beyond that some groups can be the perfect growth experience. It works for a while, but the individual often out grows the group for any number of reasons. And on the other the folks in small rural towns often can get locked into an ideology because of the isolated community which much less opportunity. There are of course pluses and minuses either way so it is not a black and white reality.

@duggydugg3937 Have you ever read Chomski or watched any interviews or talks by him? Chomski is frequently critical of the federal government and of the atrocities committed by past presidents and on and on. Chomski has been one of the most prolific writers of the last 100 years and few are as critical of so called democracy in this country. Even in his early 90's he is still very articulate.

@itaintrocketscience Here's few items to think about. Wearing a mask helps to slow spread of the virus and thus flatten the curve. Now that vaccines are available the focus is to get people vaccinated. It is still is about flattening the curve which people should understand if they followed the rise in cases going on right now. Democrats never wanted the country shut down just to make the country look bad. That is Trump's line that his supporters echoed like parrots, but it is a victim's excuse to blame others for their own mistakes. Trump never took any response for his many bad judgments in his mismanagement of this pandemic. He had no nation wide plan to confront the epidemic. By leaving it up the states there was a patchwork response to the pandemic resulting in outbreaks that affected neighboring states thar were responsible. Trump had no organized plan to increase PPE supplies consequently hospitals were chronically under equipped. Trump made confusing remarks about treatments like injecting disinfectants or taking supplements. Worst of all Trump was dismissive about the use of mask wearing even to the point of insulting others who wore masks. Consequently, made of Trump's followers behaved the same way not wearing masks and even becoming defensive when asked to wear a mask. And these Trumpers were also insulting of others who wore masks. Trump did push his Warp Drive Vaccination, but then had no plan for distribution. Also Trump and Melania were secretly vaccinated in January this year because he didn't want to alter his image with his base that he was skeptical of the whole pandemic. This was proof to me what a fraud he was and is!! By the way none of this is my opinion. It has all been well documented which you could easily find yourself.
