Comments by "Michael Deierhoi" (@michaeldeierhoi4096) on "With HTS expanding its control, can Kurds maintain autonomy in parts of Syria? | DW News" video.
Not near as many as in Syria and besides those Kurds in Germany are not out pleading for autonomy!!

And of course you left out the Kurds. Why do you ignore the occupants of Syria and only mention world powers?? That is the old paradigm that has to change or war will continue!! Are you about resistance or not??
3
The Kurds have occupied this part of Syria for generations. And they didn't invade Syria any more than they invaded Turkey or Iraq or Iran!
3
Well, since you offer no alternative you have done far worse with that comment!!

There is no where near that many kurds in Turkey and Syria and Iraq. 10 % of Syria is Kurdish which is at most 2.5 million. There other 2 countries may have at most twice as many which still means the total Kurdish population is not much more than 10 million!!
2
Why should it? The US isn't occupying Syria as much as attacking isis sites.

Nothing has happened yet. We can only wait and see how it plays out. But Turkey is most opposed to Kurdish sovereignty as they have been for quite some time.

@eleven5049 No and they shouldn't be given autonomy if they asked for it because they they never had land their historically. Besides I don't think they would bother to request autonomy in Germany anyway. Many are likely to return to Syria now that Assad has been ousted. If it stays peaceful than many more Syrians will return.

Why do you find that funny? This is serious business and the outcome is assured.
1
Of course something is going on!! Now Turkey is supporting the SNA and HTS in their hopes to prevent the Kurds from gaining sovereignty in Syria.

Interesting?! 🤔. And what video were you looking at?? Cuz it sure isn't obvious from your comment! Please enlighten us?

Assad is no longer relevant in Syria. And Russia will soon be irrelevant as well once they evacuate from their last bases. They are too preoccupied with their failed attempt to invade Ukraine. It is only because of the larger population and deceitful tactics that they are still in that fight.

Netanyahu and Erdagan are cheering, but the US is in a wait n see posture. Of course when trump comes in that will change.
1
That "Jihadists are all bad" thinking needs to be transformed into something that sounds like understanding. HTS has severed their relationship to Al Qeida and notice how this rebel faction did not attack civilians like isis or al Qeida would do!! See how out of touch you are!!
1
Why aren't you?? The Kurds fought alongside the US to defeat isis in Iraq. Most of the oil fields are in the northeast of Syria which they occupy and manage. The Kurds have been oppressed by Turkey, Iraq under Sadam Hussein and Syria under Assad. They deserve their own homeland!!

There are no winners until this transition period is worked out. Turkey is the one most opposed to Kurdish sovereignty as they have been for some time.
